Engineering Lab Technician

This position is part of the materials and process engineering group supporting materials testing, process validation, and sample preparation. This candidate will be working closely with our materials lab and will be stationed at Sun Valley, CA, but periodic travel to Glendale will be required. This candidate shall have the ability to communicate and work together effectively with their peers, complete work in a timely manner, and be detailed oriented.

Scope The Materials and Process Technician will work on projects and provide support to the materials & processing engineering group. This position is responsible for the testing, data acquisition, and quality assurance of any interconnect products and related components. The technician will be involved with cross-section equipment, analytical instruments, and testing equipment to ensure compliance to customer and company specifications. Travel to other Glenair locations, such as in Anaheim or Santa Fe Springs may be required.

Responsibilities

• Test specimens and perform tests according to standard procedures.
• Generate high-quality test reports.
• Work with production and engineering staff to troubleshoot non-conforming products.

Work Environment

The role is based in an industrial laboratory, where you will be working with various lab equipment for mechanical, thermal, or chemical testing.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
