Mechanical And Electrical Technician

Join our dynamic team as a Mechanical and Electrical Technician, where you'll play a vital role in the assembly and troubleshooting of engineering support systems. This position offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects within a high-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

1. Perform mechanical assembly and sub-assembly of components.
2. Troubleshoot and repair engineering support systems using mechanical and electrical knowledge.
3. Utilize soldering skills and oscilloscopes for prototype assembly.
4. Review customer equipment and identify subsystem experiences.
5. Conduct critical inspections to review incoming products and determine field failures.
6. Assist with Root Cause and Correction Analysis (RCCA) alongside team members.
7. Report trends in failures and components to the QA department.
8. Apply meticulous and consistent methods and processes in assembly.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in electrical, electronics, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
• Experience with mechanical testing, troubleshooting, and calibration.
• Solid soldering skills, including J-STD and cable building.
• Experience with small electronics and soldered on connector experience.
• 2-year technical degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5-20 years of relevant experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in industries such as Aerospace, Defense, Automotive, or Military.
• Previous roles as a Mechanic or in Maintenance.
• Hobbies or professional experience in computers and electronics.
• Familiarity with companies like Boeing, Blue Origin, or Composite Manufacturing is a plus.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntsville, Alabama.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
