Responsibilities
- Develop, verify, and validate a complex 6-degree of freedom missile flight simulator in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Design and implement advanced guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) algorithms.
- Create and maintain Interface Control Documents, Interface Requirement Specifications, and Interface Description Documents.
- Participate in reviewing GNC workshare requirements, model hardware, and attend international partner program meetings.
Essential Skills
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Autopilot design for guided missiles.
- Recent proficiency in creating and maintaining analysis tools using C++, MATLAB, and Python within the past year.
- Proficiency in C++ development in a Linux environment within the past year.
- Experience with high fidelity 6DoF simulation for guided missiles within the past two years.
- Experience working with missile guidance and autopilot algorithms within the past two years.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with trajectory optimization software and tools.
- Knowledge of hypersonic missiles, Aegis, IR discrimination, and tracking.
Work Environment
The role is part of a program that requires onsite presence during the work week. Employees work on high-speed digital circuits, missile flight simulations, and advanced avionics, contributing to challenging and innovative projects.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Chandler, Arizona.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
