Engineer - Cad Cam

We are seeking a skilled Engineer to design and layout printed wiring boards (PWBs) for military and aerospace avionics and test applications. This role involves collaborating with circuit and mechanical engineers to ensure the proper form, fit, and function of designs, as well as participating in peer and design milestone reviews throughout the development process.

Responsibilities include:

• Design and layout PWBs for military/aerospace avionics and test applications.
• Communicate project status to the direct manager and program engineering manager.
• Collaborate with circuit design engineers and mechanical engineers to ensure designs meet required specifications.
• Participate in peer reviews and design milestone reviews throughout the development process.

Essential skills include:

• Minimum 5 years of recent PWB design layout experience using the Cadence Allegro design tool suite.
• Working knowledge of high-density complex multilayer boards (6-16 layers).
• Experience in the layout/routing of digital and analog circuits, including power circuits.
• Experience with layout/routing of high-speed digital and controlled-impedance circuits.
• Experience with rigid-flex assemblies.
• Ability to prepare artwork ODB Gerbers for fabrication of PWBs.
• Extensive experience with footprint/symbol creation and library management.
• Understanding of IPC-2221 and IPC-7351 specifications.

Work environment:

This role is fully onsite at our facility in Chandler, AZ. You will work in a fast-paced team environment alongside design engineers and program engineers, contributing to innovative technologies and solutions.

Job type & location:

This is a contract position based out of Chandler, Arizona.

Pay and benefits:

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
