Embedded Systems Engineer
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Embedded Systems Engineer to join our engineering team. This role will focus on developing modular, scalable embedded solutions for our industrial measurement devices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with hardware communication protocols and a solid foundation in Python programming and hardware design.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement modular software systems using Python for embedded applications and maintain firmware for Raspberry Pi-based platforms.
- Integrate and troubleshoot hardware communication interfaces, including TCP/IP, UART, SPI, and I²C.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to interpret and contribute to schematic designs.
- Support product development from concept through production, ensuring reliability and performance.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Skills:
- 3 – 5 years of experience in embedded systems.
- Proficiency in Python for embedded and automation applications.
- Experience with modular software design principles.
- Hands-on experience with Raspberry Pi or similar embedded platforms.
- Strong understanding of hardware communication interfaces (TCP/IP, UART, SPI, I²C).
- Basic knowledge of hardware design and schematics.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional engineering team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in industrial automation or instrumentation.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 standards and quality systems.
- Exposure to manufacturing environments and process control systems.

Job Type & Location:
This is a Contract position based out of Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $56.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
