We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Engineer to join our Security Electronics Department. The ideal candidate will have experience with low voltage, relay logic controls and experience with various CAD software tools. This position will be responsible for all aspects related to designing and delivering security electronics systems for existing and new detention facilities including oversight and preparation of submittals, fabrication drawings, procurement documents, scheduling, field installation drawings, pre and post test documents, and close out documents. This role requires strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work collaboratively with our engineering, CAD, purchasing, fabrication, project management, and field installation teams. The Engineer will also be responsible for coordinating with all associated internal and external entities.

Responsibilities
• Design and develop detailed drawings, layouts, and wiring schematics using CAD software such as MicroStation and AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with CAD operators to develop and review accurate and precise technical drawings.
• Prepare system design and installation documentation.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Perform quality checks on drawings to verify accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain organized records of all design documents and revisions.
• Create, distribute, and maintain Submittals, BOMs, and Close Out documents.
• Create purchase requisitions and track material delivery
• Ensure projects are designed and delivered within budget and schedule requirements.
• Provide regular updates on project progress, status, etc.
• Participate in project meetings to discuss design progress and address any issues.
• Occasional travel to gather information from job sites.
Qualifications
• Proficiency in CAD software, particularly MicroStation and AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office programs.
• Knowledge of security electronics systems (low voltage, relay logic controls systems, communication system, and camera system).
• Ability to create detailed system drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong understanding of technical drawing standards and practices.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in the detention industry is a plus.
• Knowledge of PLC systems, HMIs, and networking skills is a plus.
Intermediate Level
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
