Electro Mechanical Engineer
The Electro Mechanical Engineer will perform a variety of multi-trade functions, such as the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment, machinery, and facilities. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and fabricating components, as well as basic design, adjustment, and welding. The engineer is expected to have knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and air power systems, and is responsible for ensuring the safe and effective operation of machinery and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, install, and replace components in equipment, machinery, and facilities.
- Perform basic design, simple fabrication, adjustment, rebuilding, and welding.
- Understand and apply knowledge of electrical power, hydraulic power, and air power.
- Work with PLC systems, light curtains, and safety devices.
- Repair and replace test cables, and make recommendations for suitable substitutes.
- Read blueprints and engineering designs, recognizing and interpreting details.
- Keep accurate records for the ordering of replacement parts and regular equipment inspections.
- Inspect and adjust manufacturing equipment based on communication with operators or production supervisors.
- Utilize rigging and scaffolding to move heavy equipment using ropes, chains, cables, hoists, jacks, and lift trucks.
- Operate powered hand tools and stationary machine tools.
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure proper fitting and operation of components.
- Communicate effectively regarding work scope, completion schedules, and materials or parts required.
- Perform other duties as required and assigned.
Essential Skills
- Basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and air power systems.
- Ability to work with PLC systems and understand ladder logic control.
- Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering designs.
- Proficiency in operating powered hand tools and stationary machine tools.
- Effective communication skills for discussing work scope, schedules, and requirements.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Electro-Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, or military maintenance environments.
- Experience with electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with PLC programming, pneumatics, hydraulic, ladder logic, and industrial controls.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
