We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity to join our Electrical team and MEP group as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) Electrical Engineer at our expanding Research Triangle Park (RTP) office. Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical expert supporting power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and telecommunication systems for design projects.
• Lead electrical engineering design and provide technical services as part of a multi-discipline project team.
• Direct and conduct technical evaluations of electrical equipment/systems and control systems.
• Prepare design computations and assessments.
• Complete electrical engineering design tasks within budget and on schedule.
• Communicate and coordinate technical evaluations and designs with other discipline professionals, Project Managers, and client representatives.
• Stay current with local, state, and federal design standards and regulations.
• Develop new work opportunities and clients related to electrical engineering services for various facilities.

Essential Skills

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
• NC PE or ability to acquire NC PE quickly through reciprocity.
• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• High technical ability and interest in technology.
• Strong communication skills and a self-starter.
• Proficiency in electrical design, Revit, and building systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Interdisciplinary systems approach to engineering.
• Experience with financial metrics and data analytics.
• Experience in electrical power engineering and drawing sets in CAD or Revit.
• Familiarity with MEP work for buildings and NEC, NESC, IEEE standards.
• Creative thinking and ability to present ideas to teams and clients.

Work Environment

The position requires working from the Durham office for 3-6 months initially, with more flexible work arrangements available thereafter.

This is a Permanent position based out of Durham, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $50.00/hr.
