Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. The role involves drafting electrical schematics, managing board layouts, and generating manufacturing documentation. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in the design verification process and support the manufacturing and integration of board and backplane assemblies.

Responsibilities

  • Draft electrical schematics detailing the integration of backplane and peripheral I/O subsystems in embedded computing enclosures.
  • Manage board layouts, including the construction of library parts, working closely with designated layout personnel.
  • Generate bill of materials (BOMs) and other essential manufacturing documentation.
  • Complete design verification processes with all required documentation.
  • Provide support during the manufacture of board and backplane assemblies and during chassis integration.

Essential Skills

  • Extensive experience in electrical engineering, specifically in board layout and PCB design.
  • Proficiency in schematic capture and high-speed board design for the defense industry.
  • Experience with PCB design, layout, and the manufacturing process.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of defense and aerospace industry standards such as AS9100, AS9102, and Mil-STD.
  • Familiarity with VME, VPX, CPCI, and VXS system buses.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in EMI and ESD issues.
  • Experience with mentor graphics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 10-12 years of experience in the aerospace or defense industry.
  • Working knowledge of printed circuit board design, layout, and manufacturing.
  • Experience with high-speed board design (greater than 10Gig) is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with customers regarding system engineering and architecture.
  • Experience in resolving field issues with customers.
  • Strong understanding of digital and analog circuit design.
  • Capability to handle multiple projects in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and short timeframes.

This is a Permanent position based out of Brockton, Massachusetts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
