Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The role involves material procurement and tracking, document management, estimating, and maintaining client relations. You will support the projects team with the day-to-day operations of construction projects, which may vary from several small-sized jobs to one large project.

Responsibilities

• Review project drawings and/or specifications for given projects.
• Establish and create submittals in conjunction with submittal logs.
• Assist with the production and/or processing of RFIs.
• Coordinate material procurement, including quantity take-offs with the purchasing team, and track tools to ensure products are delivered on schedule.
• Handle Change Order pricing, including lump sum change orders and Field Work Order tracking and proposals.
• Assist the engineering department on design/build projects.
• Attend project and field job site meetings as needed.
• Coordinate schedules with the field team, superintendent onsite, vendors, manufacturers, and subcontractors.
• Interact with clients, interpreting their needs and requirements, providing timely responses.
• Prioritize and perform multiple tasks in a dynamic environment with time-sensitive deadlines.
• Understand and follow operating procedures within company and jobsite guidelines.
• Lead electrical systems design for building projects, including power systems and lighting.
• Conduct design and calculations for power systems, lighting, and associated controls.
• Prepare construction documents and review electrical drawings.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the electrical construction industry.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in electrical design, construction, and low voltage systems.
• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to review and ensure compliance with project criteria and requirements.
• Coordination and collaboration skills with other disciplines and team members.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Experience with Adobe and Bluebeam preferred.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and capability to drive positive resolutions.
• Adept at organizing and documentation.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of inventory and supply management preferred.

Our engineering team is closely-knit, working collaboratively on many of the same projects, which fosters an environment where ideas are freely exchanged to meet deadlines. While individual responsibilities exist, the team supports each other, contributing to a work environment where most team members remain for over 10 years. Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Santa Clara, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
