The electrical power distribution at this site operates across three systems: normal (up to 12.47 kV), emergency (up to 480 V), and uninterruptible power (120/208V). The Electrical Services Group is responsible for ensuring a reliable and dependable delivery of electricity. This role involves providing engineering support for site projects related to electrical power distribution and infrastructure, encompassing everything from planning to implementation, operation, and maintenance.

Work environment consists of 14 members, including electricians, electrical technicians, EITs, and other engineers. This position reports directly to the Group Leader of Electrical Services and frequently interacts with operational staff, researchers, engineers, and equipment owners. Collaboration with project proponents and design teams is common to develop designs, specifications, procure, receive, install, and commission new systems and equipment. External interactions may include vendors, consultants, and specialists from other laboratories. The position requires in-office presence 5 days a week.
