Electrical Engineer

This role involves primarily supporting the development and testing of medical devices. The focus will be on debugging issues at both the power supply and systems level. Although the role is predominantly testing-oriented, they can also utilize this person for analog and digital design. The position requires running extensive EMC testing in the lab, with a strong preference for knowledge in power electronics. Familiarity with Cadence and Mentor Graphics tools is essential and ensuring compliance with IEC60601-2 standards.

Responsibilities

  • Support medical device development and testing.
  • Debug problems at the power supply and systems level.
  • Conduct extensive EMC testing in the lab.
  • Ensure compliance with IEC60601-2 standards.
  • Utilize Cadence and Mentor Graphics tools for testing and design.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering.
  • Experience with EMC testing.
  • Ability to debug power supply issues.
  • Knowledge of analog and digital design.
  • Experience in a highly regulated industry, preferably medical devices.
  • Proficiency with Cadence for schematic capture.

Work Environment

This position is fully on-site.

This is a Contract position based out of Schaumburg, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
