Electrical Engineer

The role of Electrical Engineer is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of diverse projects. The selected candidate will serve as a technical expert, lead project engineer, and will contribute to business development efforts. While the primary focus will be on educational facilities, municipal/civic facilities, and retail, there are also opportunities to work in multifamily, commercial, and higher education sectors.

Responsibilities

1. Act as a project manager and electrical task leader on projects.
2. Lead the work of the project team and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
3. Communicate expectations professionally and clearly to all stakeholders.
4. Contribute to a collaborative team environment by being proactive and clear in communication.
5. Leverage experience and contacts in the Minnesota Metro market.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in electrical engineering and electrical design.
• Advanced skills in Revit and knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical.
• Familiarity with industry standards and codes.
• Experience in SCADA systems, programmable logic controllers, and related technology.
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma from a college, university, or technical/community college in a related area.
• At least 4+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the building engineering industry.
• Ability to identify different pieces of equipment for all disciplines and understand their function and use.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit and knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD is a plus.

Job Type & Location

This is a permanent position based out of Alexandria, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $110000.00/yr. PTO, holiday pay, flexible schedule, yearly bonuses. Design Tree Engineering is an equal opportunity employer.
