Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Electrical Engineer with a strong technical background. This role requires an individual who excels in project execution and is not just a passive coordinator. Proficiency with JIRA for planning and driving work to closure is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in design and testing processes, contributing to system architectures, block diagrams, design trades, and technical decisions.
• Lead test efforts by writing test plans and procedures, supporting and executing tests, and driving issue resolution and follow-up actions.
• Derive, allocate, and manage system requirements, even when customer requirements are incomplete or evolving.
• Produce system documentation, including system descriptions, interfaces, and test artifacts.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams with strong organizational skills and maintain minimal oversight.
• Communicate effectively with strong people skills and focus on advancing programs and closing actions.

Essential Skills

• Electrical engineering expertise, including electrical design and PCB design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, and Altium Designer.
• Experience with wiring and harness design for integrated systems.
• Ability to perform electrical load calculations and support power distribution, wire gauge selection, and fuse and breaker sizing.
• Part selection skills for connectors, cabling, power components, and protection devices.
• Ability to conduct and document trade studies considering cost, performance, availability, and risk.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in systems or project engineering with direct ownership of technical decisions.

This is a Contract position based out of Elkridge, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62.50 - $62.50/hr.
