Electrical Engineer

Join a rapidly expanding, family-oriented global leader in the Industrial Corrosion Control Industry as an Electrical Engineer. Take full ownership of electrical, controls, automation, and manufacturing-related design for multi-million-dollar projects. This role involves designing and building advanced blasting, coating, and automated manufacturing facilities that support shipyards, industrial plants, and critical defense infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing main power distribution and heavy-load electrical systems, as well as controls and automation platforms to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable facility operations.

Responsibilities

  • Design medium-voltage incoming tie-ins through low-voltage distribution systems across entire facilities, including heavy-load feeders and large-facility electrical layouts.
  • Specify and design electrical, controls, and automation systems for industrial blasting and coating facilities.
  • Produce schematics, panel layouts, and detailed electrical documentation using AutoCAD.
  • Prepare scopes of work for external engineering subconsultants and manage associated budgets, schedules, and deliverable scopes.
  • Ensure all electrical and control system designs comply with NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Subject Matter Experts to integrate electrical systems into the overall facility design.
  • Support procurement activities and vendor coordination to verify that components meet all standards, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting at project sites.

Essential Skills

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 3-5 years of electrical engineering experience in industrial or large-facility projects.
  • Experience with medium- to low-voltage facility electrical design expertise, including large-facility layouts and heavy-load feeders.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD for schematics, panel layouts, and detailed electrical documentation.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical & industrial control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and automation components.
  • Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and related codes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Procore.
  • Experience using EasyPower, ETAP, SKM, PSS, or other modeling software.

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic environment where you will use advanced technologies and equipment to design and implement solutions. The role requires close collaboration with a diverse team and involves travel to project sites for installation and troubleshooting. The dress code is business casual.
