Electrical Engineer
We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing debug and test assemblies, maintaining testers, troubleshooting, and providing support and training to Test operators. The role involves working on problems with limited scope and adhering to company policies and procedures for problem resolution.
Responsibilities
- Perform debug and test assemblies to component level utilizing block diagrams and schematics.
- Maintain and upkeep testing equipment.
- Troubleshoot operator problems and work with leadership on training and process improvements.
- Provide training and ongoing support to Test operators.
- Communicate problems to Test Engineer and leadership.
- Assist in performing experiments for failure analysis and root cause analysis.
- Recommend additional equipment needs for product debug areas to leadership and Test Engineers.
- Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen continuous improvement activities.
- Comply with all company security policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Work on problems of limited scope and follow standard practices and procedures.
- Build stable working relationships internally.
- Apply professional concepts and company policies to resolve routine issues.
- Receive detailed instructions on all work.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in soldering, assembly, electrical engineering, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and PCB designs.
- Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
- Skill in debugging and testing electronic circuits and components.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience soldering on PCBs.
- Minimum of 1 year experience testing PCBs.
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) or Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
- Familiarity with Six Sigma and Lean methodologies.
- Experience with basic hand and power tools, wiring, and circuit board construction.
Work Environment
This position requires working onsite in a manufacturing setting located in Rochester.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
