Electrical Engineer
Perform minor and major repairs to all production and facility-related equipment, including instrumentation, electrical, electro-mechanical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Responsibilities
- Program PLCs and ensure optimal functioning of systems.
- Follow all safety regulations and use provided safety equipment as required.
- Understand and adhere to ISO 9001 requirements and established work instructions and procedures.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and rectify machine, facility, and process problems.
- Complete machine Preventative Maintenance duties as scheduled.
- Utilize electrical test equipment for troubleshooting electrical systems to determine corrective actions and repairs.
- Help maintain inventory control of parts and equipment.
- Provide training to other electricians and mechanics.
- Maintain a neat, organized, and clean work area while following 5S principles.
- Cross-train in other positions as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Essential Skills
- Two-year technical training, Associate's degree, or military training preferred.
- Five years of relevant experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret technical instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with PLC Programming and electrical engineering.
- Familiarity with plant engineering and automation/controls.
- Experience in control panel design and electrical facilities.
Work Environment
Share a small, air-conditioned, climate-controlled office with the Controls Tech. The plant is not climate-controlled. Work hours typically consist of eight hours per day, five days per week on an assigned shift, with flexibility for overtime or irregular hours including weekends and holidays. The role involves using electrical test equipment, meters, scopes, and operating shop equipment and tools. The employee is responsible for personal hand tools and must sign out tools from the maintenance tool room.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
