Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain laser systems. Develop prototyping and process development opportunities, trying to get them to production. Stay current on all applicable technologies to make recommendations for future.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Develop system architecture for medical devices integrating electrical hardware and embedded software. Design and implement firmware for device control and data acquisition. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sensors, actuators, and communication interfaces. Perform system-level testing, troubleshooting, and optimization. Ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and FDA software validation requirements. Document system requirements, design specifications, and verification protocols.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Required Qualifications: Education: BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. Experience: 3+ years in systems engineering for medical devices or similar regulated industries. Hands-on experience with embedded systems development (C/C++, Python). Skills: PCB design and hardware integration. Familiarity with microcontrollers, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C). Knowledge of IEC 62304 (medical device software lifecycle standard).

Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $58.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
