DevSecOps Engineer

Responsibilities

1. Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code to provision and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure.
2. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient software delivery.
3. Support cloud environments by identifying and resolving infrastructure issues and enhancing reliability through automation, monitoring, and resilient system design.
4. Improve system observability through logging, tracing, and monitoring to ensure system health.
5. Contribute to the long-term technical roadmap, influencing key architectural decisions.
6. Participate in on-call rotation shifts to ensure uptime and performance of production environments.

Essential Skills

• 10+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Cloud Engineering roles.
• 5+ years of experience focused on DevSecOps.
• Proven ability to design, implement, and maintain highly available, secure, and scalable infrastructure in GCP and/or AWS.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, preferably GitHub Actions, and infrastructure as code tooling like Terraform.
• Experience in managing and securing containerized environments, including orchestration tooling such as Docker Compose or Kubernetes.
• Proficient in scripting with a passion for automation.
• Proven ability to work independently and cross-functionally in fast-paced environments.
• Startup mentality: proactive, self-directed, adaptable, and collaborative.
• Committed to meeting schedules and deadlines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Hands-on production experience with network security and Zero Trust Networking principles and architectures.
• Past participation in security compliance initiatives and audit prep (SOC2, NIST 800-207, EU CRA).
• Experience troubleshooting production issues across Linux servers, Docker containers, and cloud infrastructure.
• Operational expertise with Cloudflare services including CDN, DNS, WAF, and Load Balancing.
• Maintaining and configuring reproducible development environments using Nix.
• Prior experience supporting an Elixir ecosystem.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $80.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
