DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage cloud-based applications using Azure services.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources.
• Write and maintain scripts for automation and deployment.
• Monitor and optimize cloud resources for performance and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with DevOps and security teams to ensure best practices in cloud architecture.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure services and infrastructure.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps/Cloud Engineering.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms, with a preference for Azure.
• Experience in DevOps practices, including CI/CD, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Kubernetes, AKS, and Docker.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
• Familiarity with observability tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki.
• Experience with JFrog and Helm charts.

Work Environment

The role is based on-site in downtown Ottawa, with the flexibility to work from home on Wednesdays. Expect to be in the office four days a week, contributing to one of the largest space programs in Canadian history and working with a global leader in engineering services.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Ottawa, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $62.00/hr.
