Design Engineer

This entry-level engineering role is centered on designing and developing retail Point-of-Purchase (POP) displays. As a Junior Engineer, you will use SolidWorks to create 3D models, technical drawings, and assembly instructions that transform creative concepts into production-ready designs. You will support prototyping, testing, and planogram layouts while working closely with sr engineers, project managers, and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using SolidWorks.
• Create accurate, production-ready technical documents through CAD drafting.
• Utilize Adobe Photoshop for labeling, instruction sheets, and visual layouts.
• Support prototyping and testing by assisting with mock-ups and design refinements.
• Develop planograms by understanding merchandising layouts and retail product placement.
• Document engineering processes including BOM (Bill of Materials), exploded views, and assembly guides.
• Collaborate with sr engineers and project managers to ensure designs meet production and client requirements.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling, assemblies, and detailed drawings.
• Experience with CAD Drafting for technical document creation.
• Familiarity with Point-of-Purchase display materials such as metal, wood, acrylic, corrugate, and plastics.
• Knowledge of mechanical design principles.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design.
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign for creating display guides and marketing layouts.
• Understanding of planogram development and merchandising layouts.
• Experience with prototyping and testing processes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $36.06/hr.
