Design Engineer

Sheet Metal Enclosure Designer

Design and model large sheet metal enclosures.

Detail and work with the production floor until release.

Create the Bill of Materials.

Assess the usability, environmental impact, and safety of designs.

Calculate and simulate stress tests, tolerances, and trajectories.

Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to integrate and enhance product specifications.

Prototype and modify designs based on trial runs and feedback.

Run individual projects independently.

Maintain constant communication with vendors and customers regarding project completion.

Essential Skills:

Proficiency in Solidworks and/or 3D AutoCAD.

Experience with sheet metal, motors, drives, or pneumatics is highly preferred.

Ability to independently manage projects.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Machesney Park, IL.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
