Senior DeltaV Engineer
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior DeltaV Engineer in our Raleigh, NC office. This position is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and project management of large-scale capital automation projects within the Life Sciences industry. It requires proficiency with Emerson DeltaV systems and a strong technical background in designing and delivering cGMP-compliant automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complete project life cycles, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize biopharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement DeltaV control systems for complex Life Sciences capital projects.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring on-time and within-budget project execution.
- Lead system architecture development and control strategies to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
- Design batch sequencing, phase logic, and recipe structures to optimize production efficiency and regulatory compliance.
- Develop DeltaV graphics using DeltaV Live and DeltaV Operate in alignment with ISA-101 HMI guidelines.
- Utilize a class-based approach in overall design to maximize scalability and standardization across projects.
- Develop electrical designs, including power distribution, panel layouts, and grounding strategies for automation systems.
- Specify and procure instrumentation and hardware components.
- Design and implement industrial networking solutions, including Ethernet/IP, Profibus, and Foundation Fieldbus.
- Integrate 3rd party equipment with DeltaV systems using protocols such as OPC UA, Ethernet/IP, and Modbus.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency with Emerson DeltaV systems.
- Strong technical background in designing and delivering cGMP-compliant automation solutions.
- Experience in managing complete project life cycles.
- Ability to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Proficiency in DeltaV Live and DeltaV Operate.
- Knowledge of ISA-101 HMI guidelines.

Work Environment
The role is based in an office desk/cubicle environment with frequent use of computers, engineering tools, and industrial control systems. There may be occasional lifting, climbing, and working in production facilities during commissioning activities.
Job Type & Location

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
