Cybersecurity Engineer

Join our dynamic team as a Cybersecurity Engineer! Collaborate with our technical team to develop new capabilities and deliver secure solutions across multiple projects.

Responsibilities:

• Consult on system architectures and operations concepts from a security perspective.
• Derive security requirements, designs, solutions, and mechanisms in response to customer requirements and internal policies.
• Develop and maintain security-related system artifacts, including specifications, profiles, and threat models.
• Oversee the verification of security aspects of the product/system.
• Perform threat assessments and advise on required actions to mitigate risks.
• Review vulnerability and compliance scanning results and prioritize remediation actions.
• Support engineering program delivery through the development of security plans and budgets.
• Coach and mentor junior team members.

Essential Skills:

• Degree or diploma in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant experience in Systems Security.
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
• 5 or more years of experience in an engineering or information systems environment.
• Understanding of DND project delivery and execution processes.
• Experience maintaining close working relationships with system engineers and customer representatives.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional leadership skills and problem-solving abilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in accreditation of Classified systems for DND.
• Experience with NIST SP-800 suite and other relevant standards.
• Experience in designing and working in Security Operation Centres.
• Hands-on experience with technologies such as SIEM, IDS, IPS, and machine learning.
• Familiarity with Business Continuity Plans, Disaster Recovery Programs, and OWASP References.
• Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) certification is a plus.
• Secret Level clearance required.

Work Environment:

The position offers a hybrid work environment with a 3/2 split between remote and on-site work. There may be occasional requirements to be on-site full-time for specific projects. Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $144000.00/yr.
