Controls Engineer Supervisor

Client is targeting a 3rd shift (11pm-7am) Controls Engineer supervisor that will be responsible for overseeing a team of technicians as well as troubleshooting all automated systems in the manufacturing plant. Alongside controls work, will be managing a shift of 4-5 direct reports. Will be troubleshooting in Rockwell/Allen Bradley systems. Equipment includes Fanuc robots, slitter lines, laser cutters, presses, and overhead cranes. The candidate for this position will be proficient in modifying/troubleshooting Ladder Logic and has strong interpersonal/leadership skills.

- Participate in team meetings to collect, analyze, and act on issues that come up on the floor.

- Direct workers engaged in all types of repairs.

- Develop a strong knowledge of company equipment and programs.

- Troubleshoot and program automated machine cells.

- Be involved in continuous improvement projects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

-This candidate will be responsible for supervising a team in a union environment. Although supervision experience is not required, the candidate will need to have proven leadership experience.

-Exposure/Knowledge of IT systems (Ignite)

-Project Management Experience

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Holt, MI.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $40.86/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
