Controls Engineer
Seeking an experienced Siemens Controls Engineer to support a high-priority automation project with an immediate start. This is a 9+ month engagement with the potential to expand. There is an optional opportunity for travel to Buffalo, New York or Texas, as desired. The position offers some flexible schedule options.
Responsibilities
- Design, program, and test Siemens-based control systems using TIA Portal.
- Integrate and validate Profisafe and Profinet networks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and safety.
- Participate in field commissioning with potential travel of 1–2 months later in the project.
- Document code, configurations, and system changes for traceability.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Siemens TIA Portal for programming Siemens PLCs and HMIs.
- Experience with Profisafe and Profinet for safety and industrial communication protocols.
- Strong programming experience with the ability to write and debug complex control logic, ideally with structured text or ladder logic in Siemens environments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with WinCC Runtime for HMI development.
- Knowledge of Siemens ProDiag for diagnostics.
- Understanding of PLCSIM as a simulation tool.
- Willingness to travel for field commissioning (1–2 months).

The hours are standard day shift with flexibility, and the dress code is business casual with practical, shop-floor-ready attire.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $60.00/hr.
