Controls Engineer

As a Controls Engineer, you will be an integral part of our services team, assisting in the development and implementation of industrial automation machinery for major automotive programs. You will work on new equipment, focusing primarily on Siemens TIA portal PLC code, and apply your expertise in controls and automation work within manufacturing plants.

Responsibilities

  • Receive specifications for automated equipment from specific customers and write PLC code from scratch or edit existing PLC code.
  • Collaborate with team members on the shop floor, both on-site at customers' locations and in-house, to perform start-up of machines, debugging, and troubleshooting.
  • Remain involved in the installation of machines at customer sites, performing start-ups, debugging, and troubleshooting before progressing to subsequent projects.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with Siemens or equivalent systems, writing code from scratch.
  • Experience with automation equipment, particularly in integration rather than plant maintenance settings.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within regions such as Michigan, New York, Canada, and Toledo, OH.

The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $50.00/hr.
