Controls Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our team and provide comprehensive support for various control systems and networks. This role involves working with advanced technologies to ensure stable operations and drive improvements in system reliability and efficiency.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing support for Quantum and Momentum PLC hardware and SCADAs, including remote IO using Modbus and Modbus+ network communications.
• Supporting GE iFIX control systems, including SCADA's, graphic design, and web services.
• Supporting Siemens PCS7 Hardware, Software, and Configuration, including OS Server, OS Client, Web server, troubleshooting, Remote IO, and Profibus network.
• Identifying and resolving issues related to hardware and software to ensure stable operation, including patches, software updates, and firmware updates.
• Implementing projects to address control system component obsolescence and improve reliability.
• Leading and supporting control systems upgrade projects and installation of new control systems from planning and design to installation and commissioning.
• Managing vendor service contracts and maintaining critical spare parts inventory.
• Implementing control strategies and programming to interface with and control physical devices, ensuring equipment operates within the integrity operating envelope.
• Updating Network Hierarchy, General Arrangement, and other Engineering Drawings to reflect changes.
• Configuring and designing custom graphic displays and trends.
• Maintaining system documentation and participating in the change management process related to control systems.
• Troubleshooting system hardware, software, network, and instrument bus technologies.
• Providing specification information and commissioning support for instrumentation.
• Supporting Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and participating in change management related to control systems.
• Implementing identified and requested projects.
• Providing support for Canary Historian.

Essential Skills include:

• PLC programming expertise.
• Experience with Siemens or Mitocone.
• Proficiency in programming and supporting control systems.
• BS in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $150000.00/yr. Health, dental, vision, 401K.

Workplace Type:

This is a fully onsite position in Inman, SC.
