Controls Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical control devices, assist plant associates with technical inquiries, and provide solutions. You will be responsible for interpreting PLC Ladder logic, investigating and resolving HMI and PLC issues, and working independently on smaller projects. This role requires significant travel and offers opportunities for overtime.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical control devices.
• Assist plant associates with technical questions and provide potential solutions.
• Investigate and resolve HMI and PLC issues as needed.
• Interpret PLC Ladder logic.
• Work independently on smaller projects.
• Travel extensively, ranging from 40% to 90% of the time.
• Aid in the installation and startup of new equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings.
• Test and verify electrical wiring, including safety circuits, I/O, and communications.
• Debug and test all software to ensure project requirements are met.

Essential Skills:

• Experience with Fanuc PMC Controllers for at least two years.
• Experience with Rockwell PLC Control for at least two years.
• Minimum experience with Mitsubishi PLC control.
• At least two years of experience working in an automation/manufacturing environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong programming skills.
• Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs.
• Proficiency in reading schematics.
• Ability to work effectively with HMI systems.
• Expertise in electrical troubleshooting.

Work Environment:

This role involves traveling primarily to installation sites. The position offers opportunities to earn 6-10 hours of overtime per week.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
