Controls Engineer
We are seeking a talented Controls Engineer for a 6+ month contract position. This role involves providing startup support as the electrical systems are operational and the project enters its final stages. You will assist in the completion of Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and the startup of production processes.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot software bugs in Studio 5000.
- Train operators and collaborate with team members in a production environment.
- Quickly integrate with the onsite team and provide solo support for software systems.
- Receive remote support from the team for any questions while onsite.
- Work onsite for 4-5 days a week, primarily handling supervision and project management tasks.
Essential Skills
- Experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Expertise in automation and controls engineering for custom automated equipment.
- Proficiency in Allen Bradley Studio 5000 programming, including Safety PLC programming.
- Experience with PLC/HMI programming and troubleshooting, specifically with Allen Bradley.
- Knowledge in machine check-out, robotics, motion control, and machine vision.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of Talk View SE programming experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with VFD Drives.
- Proficiency in PC setup and maintenance.
- Experience in Microsoft SQL Server setup and maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with system setup, including mechanical and electrical adjustments.
- Experience working with large teams and multiple stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and technical documentation skills.
- Experience in troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical/controls/software items is preferred.
Work Environment
You will spend a significant amount of time working on the production floor, performing all controls-related activities. This role is based at a customer site in Washington, where you will engage with state-of-the-art equipment in the aerospace industry.

This is a Contract position based out of Everett, Washington.

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
