Controls Commissioning Engineer

Join our team as a Controls Commissioning Engineer for a renowned Controls OEM. You will play a critical role in a commissioning and validation project, contributing your expertise to ensure successful implementation and functionality. This is a 6-month contract position focused on providing support in various commissioning and qualification activities.

Responsibilities:

• Attend daily morning meetings to discuss project updates and tasks.
• Support commissioning and qualification activities, including creating and updating redlines.
• Troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems to ensure smooth operations.
• Collaborate with Automation Engineers and System Owners on equipment-related matters.
• Provide support for vision systems, including Cognex.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in PLC programming with at least 5 years of experience as a Controls Technician.
• Experience with Allen Bradley PLC and Siemens PLC systems.
• Strong understanding of automation equipment and IO Check Outs.
• Expertise in equipment commissioning, troubleshooting, and electrical systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• An Associate Degree is preferred.
• Experience with equipment installation is advantageous.
• Familiarity with various HMI versions and security settings.
• Knowledge of Rockwell software versions and PLC programming languages.
• Understanding of PLC connection protocols, including VLan and VFD operations.

Work Environment:

Work onsite at a state-of-the-art, exceptionally clean facility. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, totaling 45 hours per week. Collaborate with a leading systems integrator and enjoy a supportive and innovative work culture.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, OH.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $39.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
