Controls Commissioning Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Controls Commissioning Engineer for a 12-month contract to support a commissioning and validation project for a Controls OEM. This role involves attending daily meetings, supporting commissioning and qualification activities, troubleshooting PLC/HMI, and collaborating with automation engineers and system owners. The position requires expertise in Vision (Cognex) support and operates on a Monday to Friday schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM, totaling 45 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

• Attend daily morning meetings per line.
• Support commissioning and qualification activities, including redlines.
• Troubleshoot PLC/HMI issues.
• Collaborate with automation engineers and system owners of equipment.
• Provide Vision (Cognex) support.

Essential Skills:

• PLC programming expertise.
• Experience with Allen Bradley PLC and Siemens PLC.
• Familiarity with automation equipment and IO checkouts.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Controls Technician.
• Experience with equipment commissioning and electrical troubleshooting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Associate Degree preferred.
• Equipment installation experience preferred.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $39.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
