Construction Project Engineer

Responsibilities
- Attend and document OAC meetings.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and superintendents.
- Manage RFIs and submittals.
- Assist with purchase orders and material procurement.
- Set up vendors and job sites.
- Upload and manage documents across various construction software platforms.
- Liaise between field and office teams.
- Support project setup and closeout processes.
Essential Skills
- 1–2 years of construction experience with General Contractor, Construction Manager, or Sub Contractor.
- Familiarity with construction terminology such as RFIs and submittals.
- Strong document control and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with construction management software like Procore and Autodesk.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Teachable, adaptable, and proactive mindset.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in Construction Management or related field.
- Experience in retail construction, tenant improvements, or refresh/renovation projects.
- Background with subcontractor or self-perform groups.
- Desire and flexibility to travel more if opportunities arise.
- Familiarity with multiple construction platforms and systems.
Work Environment
This position requires working in the Columbus, IN office five days a week initially, with potential flexibility to work from the Downtown Indianapolis office once trust is built. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $70000.00/hr.
