Cmmc Cybersecurity Platforms Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to secure AWS cloud resources and on-prem virtual infrastructure in a hybrid DevSecOps environment. This role focuses on cloud security, CI/CD pipeline protection, and compliance with CMMC v2.0 Level 2 while supporting a scalable, agile development platform.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain AWS and virtualized environments with a strong security posture.
• Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab, Jenkins, Fortify, SonarQube, and OWASP ZAP.
• Ensure compliance with CMMC v2.0 Level 2 and FedRAMP, and support audits and remediation processes.
• Perform vulnerability scanning, risk assessment, and incident response.
• Apply system hardening techniques such as STIGs and automated patching.
• Utilize tools like Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, and PowerSTIG for secure deployments.
• Mentor team members and promote cybersecurity best practices.

Essential Skills

• 5–8+ years in cloud/systems engineering with hybrid and virtualized infrastructure experience.
• Strong expertise in AWS security, including IAM, EC2, S3, CodeBuild, CloudWatch, and AWS Config.
• Experience with VMware vCenter administration and Linux/Windows hybrid environments.
• Proficiency in CI/CD security integration within DevSecOps environments.
• Knowledge of CMMC v2.0 Level 2, FedRAMP, and vulnerability management tools like Nessus.
• Proficiency with automation tools and strong documentation skills in Agile teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with secure software supply chain and RMF processes.
• Familiarity with DISA guidelines and classified/high-side environments.
• Industry certifications such as Security+, CySA+, GSEC, GCIH, or CEH.
• Experience with regulatory frameworks like NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, or ISO.
• Familiarity with scripting or automation, such as Python or PowerShell.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $150000.00/hr.
