Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze project data.
• Lead or assist in the design and development of roadway plans, specifications, design calculations, and technical documents.
• Calculate quantities and develop cost estimates.
• Produce complete plan sets.
• Collaborate with other design disciplines.
• Utilize excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in land development, civil engineering, and civil design.
• Experience with Civil 3D and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Familiarity with site development, grading, drainage, stormwater management, site design, and site plans.
• EIT certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• 0 - 2 years of experience in civil engineering.
• Previous internships with civil engineering firms are beneficial.
• Familiarity with MicroStation, GEOPAK/Corridor Modeling, and OpenRoads Designer.
• Knowledge of NCDOT roadway design guidelines, standards, and specifications is a plus.
• NCDOT highway design experience is advantageous.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Raleigh, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
