What You'll Do

• Contribute to the design and development of roadway plans, specifications, and technical documentation for transportation improvement projects.
• Perform data collection, quantity calculations, and cost estimates to support project delivery.
• Produce detailed plan sets and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration across design disciplines.
• Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to overcome design challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to keep projects moving forward.

What You Bring

• BS or MS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• EIT certification (or in progress).
• 0–2 years of experience in civil engineering (internships count!).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Civil 3D design workflows.
• Understanding of grading, drainage, stormwater management, and site development.
• Familiarity with NCDOT standards and roadway design guidelines is a plus.
• Experience with MicroStation, GEOPAK, Corridor Modeling, or OpenRoads Designer is beneficial.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Raleigh, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
