We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves utilizing Civil 3D to design grading and earthwork, erosion control, stormwater pollution prevention plans, stormwater design, and pavement. You will prepare engineering analyses, designs, and calculations for site development projects, assist in project management tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and design review, and may visit project sites for field inspections if needed.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Civil 3D for design tasks including grading, earthwork, erosion control, and stormwater management plans.
• Prepare engineering analyses, designs, and calculations for site development projects.
• Assist in project management tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and design review.
• Conduct field inspections at project sites when necessary.
• Work closely with the project management team to ensure successful project completion.

Essential Skills

• BS in Civil Engineering.
• Possession of an EIT and the ability to obtain a PE in the future.
• 2+ years of experience in site design and land development.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience in stormwater management design.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in large industrial projects.
• Proven track record of working collaboratively in a team environment.

Work Environment

This position is based out of Downers Grove, where you will work in an open office space equipped with a cubicle and dual monitor setup. The office houses the civil, survey, and environmental teams, fostering a collaborative work environment. While we prefer individuals in the office for training purposes, we offer a hybrid schedule typically consisting of two days working from home and three days in the office. You will be working on a variety of projects, primarily industrial, with some multi-family projects, at different phases. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Downers Grove, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37.50 - $38.46/hr.
