Civil Engineer

The Civil Engineer will work alongside a collaborative team of engineers to support the design and development of a variety of projects, including commercial, retail, and residential developments. This role involves planning, designing, and managing civil engineering projects such as site development, utilities, and drainage calculations. The ideal candidate will use AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce detailed engineering drawings, conduct site visits and inspections, and coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure high-quality, on-time project delivery.

Responsibilities

1. Assist in the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects.
2. Develop site plans including grading, drainage, zoning, and utilities.
3. Demonstrate ability to take ownership of projects and drive them independently from concept to completion.
4. Understand and manage budget and deadline requirements.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of experience in Civil Site Planning projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Ability to run projects independently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with commercial and industrial projects.
• EIT or PE License.

Work Environment

Work an average of 40 hours per week. The role is approximately 75% office-based and 25% field-based. Project sites are typically local in West Michigan, with occasional assignments in other areas of Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr.
