Civil/Structural Engineer
The Civil/Structural Engineer position provides technical oversight for various structural and mechanical systems on piers. The Structural Engineer will be required to develop a cohesive working relationship with system operators and maintenance personnel. The candidate should have knowledge of structural design and engineering. No C2C or sponsorship provided.
The candidate's day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within assigned system(s).
- Provide technical direction to maintenance and project teams to support routine and non-routine work.
- Provide engineering resolutions for system problems/configuration changes.
- Produce and/or oversee the development of technical documentation that govern the system design, configuration, and operation.
- Develop a long range strategic plan for improvements to assigned utility system(s).
- Participate in the development of planned maintenance requirements.
- Support resolution of unplanned events.
- Develop and maintain critical system metrics.
- Participate in project design and implementation process for system related projects.
- Oversee project/system testing to ensure system meets technical requirements and operates at peak performance.
- Participate in the development and implementation of a pier maintenance and inspection certification program with key stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Steel, wood, and concrete design courses.
- Pier or related structural design experience preferred.
- Shipyard/Nuclear facilities experience is desirable.
- Experience with pier, mechanical, or naval architecture design preferred.

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $58.00/hr.
