Civil Engineer Opportunity In Calgary
Actalent's client is currently seeking a civil engineer to join their team in Calgary to support our substation engineering department. Their expertise includes all aspects of transmission, substation, and distribution systems for voltages ranging from 4160V to 500kV.
The civil substation engineer will oversee the geotechnical, civil, and structural engineering and design for substation foundation and structure projects.
MUST HAVES:
- 8+ years of civil engineering exp.
- Past exp. with the geotechnical, civil, and structural design of pads and layouts of substations OR well pad foundations
- Civil Engineering degree
- Civil 3D exp. (software)/ Civil Design experience in general
- P.Eng to stamp
- Familiarity with geotechnical design/assessment
- Foundations design experience
- Our ideal candidate will have followed a civil scope from the geotechnical design side to structural design and understands how all three scopes fit together
NICE TO HAVES:
- 2-4 years of Transmission/Distribution industry exp.
- Structural engineering exp. ideally with steel structures
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $85.00/hr.
