Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and objectives. Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to design site grading plans and prepare erosion control documents, including permitting and SWPPP submittals. Conduct stormwater design plans for each component of the project and perform occasional site visits and inspections to assess project feasibility, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
The company has about 50 employees and is located in Aurora. This position involves working in-office all five days with standard hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The team includes 4 staff engineers, 5 principals (PEs)/owners, 4 other PEs who are not owners, 2 project engineers who run their own projects, and 3 staff engineers who support their work. The individual will be a staff engineer supporting a variety of projects between the different PEs. They will work closely with senior engineers, receiving training and guidance in Civil 3D and learning the company's way of doing work. The role involves working on 3-4 projects at a time, each with a stormwater design component. This is a long-term opportunity with potential to become a project engineer, run own projects, train and develop others, and even become an owner. The pay range for this position is $35.09 - $36.00/hr.
