Civil Engineer – Site Development & Land Design

We're seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to manage a talented team of design engineers and deliver high-quality, innovative solutions for complex site development projects. About the Role
As a Civil Engineer, you'll oversee project execution from concept through construction, ensuring designs meet technical standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations. You'll apply your expertise in stormwater management, hydrology, grading, and earthwork while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with municipalities and regulatory agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor a team of design engineers to ensure timely, high-quality project delivery.
- Coordinate resources and schedules to meet milestones and budget constraints.
- Review and approve engineering designs, reports, and submittals.
- Apply expertise in stormwater management, hydrology, hydraulics, grading, and earthwork.
- Prepare and review engineering reports, hydrology studies, and earthwork evaluations.
- Liaise with municipalities and regulatory agencies to secure permits and approvals.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Monitor construction activities and provide field support to resolve technical issues.
- Exercise sound engineering judgment in selecting design alternatives and resolving challenges.
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in site/civil projects.
- Expertise in site development, grading, civil design, and land development.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Ability to run projects independently.
- Experience with zoning permits and drainage in Long Island, NYC, or both.
- Knowledge of landscape design.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience preparing site plan packages.
- Strong understanding of zoning review, permitting, grading, and drainage.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $65.00/hr.
