Civil Engineer

This role involves working as a Civil Project Engineer, collaborating across various segments including Environmental, Civil, Geotechnical, and Architecture. The position focuses on site civil and land development projects, encompassing the design of site layouts, grading, stormwater management, utilities, soil erosion, sediment control measures, landscaping, lighting, and project management. Responsibilities also include zoning and land development permitting, field inspection, hydraulic and hydrologic design and analysis, site plan drafting, environmental impact assessment, and preparation of project documents.

Responsibilities:

• Design site layouts and grading plans.
• Manage stormwater and drainage design projects.
• Develop utilities and soil erosion and sediment control measures.
• Coordinate landscaping and lighting plans.
• Oversee project management tasks, including zoning and land development permitting.
• Conduct field inspections and collaborate on hydraulic and hydrologic design and analysis.
• Draft site plans and conduct environmental impact assessments.
• Prepare comprehensive project documentation.

Essential Skills:

• Minimum of 3 years experience with stormwater management, site and grading design, zoning, and site plan permitting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD with at least 3 years of experience.
• Experience in land surveying and development projects for at least 3 years.
• At least 2 years of experience using Civil 3D for site civil projects.
• Proven ability to coordinate with Project Managers, Field Surveyor Crews, and Engineers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with Hydrocad is a plus.
• EIT certification is advantageous.
• Experience with Carlson is beneficial.
• Technical writing experience is a plus.

Job Type & Location: This is a Permanent position based out of New York, NY.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $130000.00/yr. Medical Plans (via Aetna): PPO Plus: Lower deductible ($600 individual / $1,200 family), copays for office visits, and prescription coverage. HDHP with HSA: Higher deductible ($1,900 individual / $3,800 family), but includes a Health Savings Account (HSA) with tax advantages. Dental: Delta Dental Plan. Vision: VSP Vision Plan.
