Civil Design Engineer

We are seeking candidates with 3 to 5 years of design experience, preferably in site development, to join our growing team. You will have the opportunity to use your experience to play a lead role in civil engineering design, guided by a Project Manager and supported by other team members. Our commitment to training and development will allow you to grow in your career and take on new responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Create civil engineering plans and technical specifications.
• Develop engineering calculations for stormwater, utilities, and earthwork.
• Work with the Project Manager to execute design, create work plans, and track tasks and deliverables.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and drafters.
• Interface with clients and project team members involved in the design.

Essential Skills

• 3-5 years of relevant design experience, preferably in site development.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to function effectively in a team environment.
• Focus on client satisfaction.
• Effective time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering.
• E.I.T. certification.
• Working knowledge of codes, regulations, and standards for major site development projects in California.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Hydrology and Hydraulic, WaterCAD.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Willingness to mentor entry-level engineers and interns.
• Experience in civil engineering, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, land development, site development, piping, water resources, project management, civil/structural, civil design, civil construction, civil drawing.

The work environment can be hybrid after 90 days. Our new office is in a great location with open windows and a beautiful view. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roseville, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52.00 - $57.00/hr.
