Anodizing Manager

Join a dynamic team to work with Plant Management, Supplier Partners, and the Corporate Technology Team in establishing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to safety and quality. Assist in preventive maintenance, ensuring equipment availability and reliability while conducting chemical and physical laboratory tests for qualitative and quantitative analysis. Design, develop, and optimize processes for chemical manufacturing, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and monitor KPIs for safety and quality.
  • Assist in prioritizing preventive maintenance functions to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Conduct laboratory tests for qualitative and quantitative analysis of processes.
  • Set up and conduct chemical experiments and tests using various analysis techniques.
  • Ensure processes and equipment comply with environmental regulations.
  • Design and improve chemical processes, including anodizing and painting techniques.

Essential Skills

  • Project planning skills
  • Strong understanding of chemistry, physics, and engineering principles
  • Training in basic chemistry, titration, and solution process control
  • Experience in chemical processing for 10+ years
  • Hands-on experience with automated manufacturing systems
  • Ability to lead and execute projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Lean and Six Sigma concepts

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • BS degree in Chemical Engineering or relevant discipline from an accredited institution
  • Preferred 5+ years experience with waste treatment, painting, and anodizing of aluminum extrusions
  • 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing/plant environment

Work Environment

The role involves working 50% on the manufacturing floor and 50% at a desk, focusing on chemical and wastewater treatment. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The industrial environment requires wearing boots and pants, and using PPE such as hard hats and glasses. Work can be physically demanding, particularly in the summer heat, and production may slow down during winter months, leading to reduced hours.

This is a Direct Hire position based out of Phoenix, Arizona.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
