Sr Systems Engineer - Avionics
We are seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer to support the development and integration of complex aerospace systems. This role involves early-phase systems engineering activities including requirements decomposition, trade studies, and block diagram development. The engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and contribute to key program milestones such as SRR, PDR, and CDR.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct system-level research and analysis, including trade studies and block diagram development.
- Decompose and synthesize requirements in support of early lifecycle phases.
- Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, and Systems Engineering teams to ensure a cohesive multidisciplinary approach.
- Contribute to the development of MBSE models and presentation materials for design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR).
- Support the Moroco program through initial requirement decomposition and system synthesis.
- Participate in both sides of the systems engineering V-model, from concept to verification.
- Assist in configuration and status management (CSM) activities as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong foundation in systems engineering and design principles.
- Proficiency in Java, C++, and Python.
- Familiarity with MBSE tools and methodologies.
- Experience with DOORS, JAMA, and product lifecycle management tools.
- Active or eligible for security clearance.
- Experience in aerospace or aircraft systems development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Configuration and Status Management (CSM).
- Exposure to model-based systems engineering (MBSE) practices.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to work effectively in cross-disciplinary teams.
Experience Level:
Depending on technical depth and program experience.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $110.00/hr.
