Test Engineer
We are seeking a Test Engineer to support spacecraft test campaigns by developing test plans, writing test architecture, and documenting test outcomes. You will play a critical role in developing assembly and test processes for satellite subsystems and integration while leading a team of test engineers and technicians.
Responsibilities
- Support spacecraft test campaigns by developing and executing test plans.
- Write and document test architecture and outcomes.
- Develop assembly and test processes for satellite subsystems and integration.
- Lead a team of test engineers and technicians.
- Manage teams and support testing remotely in Florida and California.
- Ensure communication between different locations is consistent and effective.
- Support business development efforts by ensuring the scope of work is correct and contributing to proposal efforts, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.
Essential Skills
- Experience in environmental testing, EMI/EMC testing, and test architecture.
- Leadership skills with a proven track record in leading engineering teams.
- Proficiency in writing test plans.
- Experience with spacecraft or satellite systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with TVAC, shock, and vibration testing.
- Background in spacecraft or satellite engineering.
Work Environment
The role is based in a manufacturing environment, with opportunities to lead all testing activities. You will be involved in discussions about building a new facility in Colorado, and contribute to its development. This position offers the potential to become the most senior person at the new facility, with a pathway to a managerial role in the future.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Longmont, Colorado.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $82.00 - $102.00/hr.
