Regional Sales Manager

Role Details:

Job Title: Regional Sales Manager

Reporting to: National Field Manager

Salary: Competitive

Bonus: Performance Related Bonus

Equipment Provided: Company Vehicle, Fuel Card, Mobile Phone

Main purpose of role:

To work in conjunction with the National Field Manager to provide development of your team to deliver operational KPIs adding value and driving commercial development initiatives. To professionally recruit, manage, direct and motivate a team of Field Sales Executives. To enforce all agreed field performance standards, procedures and systems ensuring that deadlines are met and that all company policies are applied throughout the Field Sales team.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Strategy:

Agree business objectives and KPIs for Field Sales Executive with line manager each period. To carry out monthly team meetings in order to discuss results, provide training and to give direction on key strategic priorities for the forthcoming period.

Leadership:

To carry out individual performance appraisals and implement personal development plans. To carry out individual Development Days, audits and coaching sessions in the field in order to improve performance. Ensure that each Field Sales Executive clearly understands their job role and key result areas.

Performance:

To ensure the team's achievement of ROI, sales and distribution across each period. Responsible for driving KPI achievement of each Field Sales Executive. To maintain the Field Team's satisfaction and retention. Responsible for the training and development of Field Sales Executives.

New Business:

Keep abreast of trends, news and information concerning the industry and market. To prepare and carry out high profile store visits with the client in order to maximise future opportunities. Provide regular written, verbal and electronic communication with line manager of all identified areas of feedback or any given opportunity.

Data Recording & Reporting:

Regular analysis of team performance in conjunction with data insights and production of weekly and monthly reports as agreed with line manager.

Compliance:

Ensure that all Field Sales Executives complete mandatory Acosta University modules. Ensure that all Field Sales Executives have a full understanding of each retailer's expected standards of performance and conduct within store.

Technical:

Comprehensive understanding of the ENGAGE script and phone operation in order to optimise data capture. Comprehensive understanding of Lost Sales Value Shopping list for the purpose of driving team performance.

Financials:

To continuously monitor the Field Sales Executive budget, ensuring that it is not exceeded. To accurately reconcile the Team's Expenses and fuel costing (PHH). Calculate the Field Team's bonus subject to account budget and their performance and achievement across the period.

Administration:

Validation of field results by carrying out the specified number of audits required by the current field-audit procedure. To control and maintain records for all equipment and company property allocated to the Field Team.

Other Requirements:

Regularly read and follow Company policies and procedures at all times. Polices can be found on the intranet or by asking a member of the HR team. Take personal responsibility to comply with Health & Safety Regulations. Take responsibility for your own personal development and ensure all mandatory training is completed on time. Adhere to all General Data Protection Rules and policies (GDPR).

Who are we looking for? You will possess demonstrable experience within FMCG, retail or a sales environment, although we will also consider applications from motivated individuals with experience from other sectors. You will be passionate about the amazing brands we market and have the drive and tenacity to succeed. Previous experience of managing a remote or field based team would be advantageous. You must hold a full manual driving licence and be able to travel within a defined territory.
