Employment with us is rewarding personally and professionally. We have a Business Support Specialist position in our Finance Department that specializes in our Camp and Recreation programs.

Are you highly organized, great with people, and ready to make a meaningful impact? We're looking for a Business Support Specialist who can coordinate recreation registration, funding, and support services for individuals and families served by our agency. This is an exciting opportunity to blend your administrative skills with your passion for community service in a collaborative, family-focused environment.

What You'll Do

  • Manage our online program registration system for all recreation activities
  • Help families understand payment options (e.g., self-pay, sliding scale, or third-party funding)
  • Coordinate with county Support Administrators and other funding sources to secure approvals for services
  • Review and confirm funding details in client documentation and Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities systems, including PAWS
  • Ensure accuracy of information in Individual Service Plans (ISPs)
  • Assist with weekly summer camp registration
  • Process deposits and maintain petty cash for the recreation department
  • Serve as a friendly, knowledgeable resource for families and staff

What We're Looking For

  • High School diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and general administrative tasks
  • A friendly "people person" with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with recreation programming, disability services, or public funding (a plus but not required)
  • Organized, proactive, and passionate about supporting inclusive community programs
