Cisco Wireless Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cisco Wireless Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Cisco wireless technologies, especially the Cisco Catalyst 9800 Series Wireless Controllers. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-grade wireless networks to ensure high performance, security, and reliability across our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage wireless networks using Cisco 9800 Series Wireless Controllers.
• Configure and optimize Cisco wireless access points, controllers, and supporting infrastructure.
• Monitor and analyze wireless network performance using tools such as Cisco Prime, DNA Center, or equivalent.
• Implement and maintain wireless security protocols to safeguard against unauthorized access and threats.
• Collaborate with network engineers, IT teams, and stakeholders to integrate wireless solutions with existing infrastructure.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and training to end-users and IT staff.
• Stay current with emerging wireless technologies, Cisco product updates, and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of experience in wireless networking, with a focus on Cisco technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst 9800 Series, Cisco APs, and Cisco DNA Center.
• Strong understanding of wireless protocols (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax), RF fundamentals, and site survey methodologies.
• Experience with wireless security standards (WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X, RADIUS).
• Cisco certifications such as CCNP Enterprise Wireless, CWNA, or CCIE Wireless are highly desirable.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible).
• Familiarity with cloud-managed wireless solutions (e.g., Cisco Meraki).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
